Brendan Loper is a seasoned attorney with over 12 years of experience litigating a broad spectrum of complex lawsuits through California state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. He specializes in business disputes, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty claims, and creditor and trustee representation in bankruptcy litigation.
Brendan previously worked at a four-person boutique law firm where he was responsible for his own case load and handled all aspects of the litigation process, from discovery, to depositions, to mediation, to arbitration and trial. Brendan further acted as the lead appellate attorney on ten separate appeals before the California Court of Appeals, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Ninth Circuit, and the Ninth Circuit.
In the course of his practice, Brendan has appeared hundreds of times in court and has secured millions of dollars in judgments and settlements for his plaintiff clients. In his representation of defendants, he employs an aggressive litigation strategy to facilitate favorable settlements; he has settled a $1.7 million breach of contract claim for $36,000, a seven-figure false advertising claim for $12,500, a six-figure wrongful termination claim for $5,000, and a $3.4 million conversion claim for $0.
In his free time, Brendan enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and their dog, cat, and goldfish.
